Present a sound and light piece at Oxford's Christmas Light Festival

Do you have an idea for a piece that would suit this year's Christmas Light Festival? We'd love to hear from you!

OCM and Arts at the Old Fire Station are working together to present a piece or project as part of Oxford’s Christmas Light Festival 2021.  This joint curation/commission is funded by both organisations and we are particularly interested in working with artists from the global majority or with protected characteristics so that we can expand the perspectives within the portfolio of work we present and open up possibilities for connecting across the diverse communities of Oxford.

We're looking for an artist with a track record in making work for public spaces or the outdoors to present a piece that includes music/sound and light at Oxford's Christmas Light Festival.

Festival dates: 19 - 21 November

Budget: £9,000 (to include all planning, delivery, travel, materials, fabrication, installation, site production and evaluation)

Deadline: 12 noon, 13 September 2021

Download the Information Pack below for everything you need to know before sending us your proposal.

Selection Process

We will hold an informal zoom session for an hour on 6th September at 12pm and 6pm where you can find out more about the project.

Please email to receive the zoom details or to book a call-back: tessa@ocmevents.org

Shortlisted artist(s) will be invited to discuss their proposals further with representatives from the co-producing partnership w/c 13th September 2020.

OCM is a PRS Foundation Talent Development Partner supported by PPL and this commission would have not been possible without them.
