We are sorry to announce that we will be cancelling or postponing all of our events that were planned to happen between now and the end of May.  Keeping our audiences, our artists and our staff safe is our priority and with the government’s recommendation that people undertake social distancing, we want to play our part in helping that to happen.

Refunds

We will be refunding all ticket purchases, either through Eventbrite or through the North Wall Arts Centre’s ticketing system (depending on where you made the purchase). This includes events which are postponed. You will be able to purchase a new ticket for postponed events when they go back on sale.

If you feel able to donate your ticket fee to help keep us going during this time, we would be very grateful. We will be doing everything we can to support artists and our partner arts organisations through this challenging time.

You don’t need to do anything to receive your refund as everything will be processed automatically over the course of the next week.

Refunds will be made to the credit/debit card with which you made your booking.

We are a very small team, so we ask that you only contact us if you haven’t received your refund by the end of March.

Future Events

We are busy talking to artists about how we can restage their events beyond May and we’re exploring the potential of online events. Keep an eye on our channels - we are working hard to plan a new programme as quickly as possible and we will let you know as soon as we have news about future events - live and virtual!

Supporting OCM

These are challenging times for everyone, and not least for the large numbers of freelance artists, agents, technicians, engineers and producers whose income relies on events. If you feel able, we encourage you to continue supporting us and our colleagues in the music and events industry during this time. We will do our best to find ways to keep bringing you transforming, uplifting musical experiences that will offer you some much-needed positive wellbeing.

What you can do to help us & the music community:

1. Consider supporting artists directly by buying their music and merchandise. Below are links to our associate artists, our Boom scheme artists, and the artists we had booked to perform in the next few months - explore their work online, look for their online shops or donate to them directly.

2. Join our mailing list & follow us on social media @ocmevents to hear about new virtual events, playlists, podcasts and interactive musical activities to keep you occupied at home! https://www.ocmevents.org/mailing-list

3. We’ll still be presenting and producing amazing work by incredible artists - stay tuned and engaged and let us know what you think!

4. Oxford is full of wonderful independent promoters and venues who are in a precarious position without the ticket income on which they rely, and will need your support to keep afloat. Stay in touch with the promoters and venues whose gigs you would usually go to to make sure they are still there in the future, and consider donating your ticket refund back to cancelled gigs or making donations of however much you can.
