Listen Up is a series of FREE music-making workshops and activities for young people aged 10 to 14 in and around the Barton area of Oxford. The project is designed to give young people in Barton access to music-making activities, and opportunities to access music technology and work with professional musicians who can nurture their interests and talents in music.

Through the Listen Up project, young people will get the opportunity to:

  • Work with a local rapper and producer to use music technology to create their own songs from scratch

  • Learn the arts of sampling sounds and lyric writing

  • Gain skills in Music Production and Beat Making

  • Explore the Pitt Rivers Museum collection of sound and music artefacts

Our next series of FREE music-making workshops is during the February Half Term 2024 from Wednesday 15 - Friday 17 February 2024.

The workshops are open to young people ages 10 - 14 (Years 6, 7, 8 and 9) that live in and around the Barton area.

The workshops will run from 11am - 3pm each day including breaks and lunch will be provided

The workshops will take place at the Centre for Music, Bayswater Rd, Barton, Oxford OX3 9FF. Venue info
