Remnants is an electro-folk drama, combining traditional Balkan vocal music with deep bass electronics

ERRATICA presents Remnants, a moving piece of music theatre based on a true story about one woman's encounter with the aftermath of war crimes at Srebrenica, and her family's connection to the Holocaust in Bosnia fifty years before. Told using adapted traditional Balkan music alongside delicate electronics the result is both thought provoking and gripping in equal measure.

Conceived as an electro-folk opera using movement, voice-over, and archival footage, ERRATICA is presenting a concert version of Remnants with OCM at the Old Fire Station, Oxford.

Conceived and directed by Patrick Eakin Young, the piece is based on the memoir The Stone Fields, by Courtney Angela Brkic.  Balkan folk songs are combined with original vocal arrangements and compositions by award winning composer Christian Mason and electronic soundscapes by DJ and installation artist Shelley Parker.
