Would you like to become the next member of a band working at the cutting edge of live performance with mobile technology? OCM is one of six partners in a project with Tin Men and the Telephone, a unique band that has pioneered ways to involve audiences in live improvisation using a specially-devised app. Recognised as one of the top groups in the Netherlands, they’ve been selected for a three-year project to explore ways of building on their success using the technology and hybrid performance they’ve created. To do this, they need you - and others like you - to join in. And this is where OCM and the other partners come in.
We’ll be hosting a residency with the band in Oxford in January 2018. At the end of their stay, the band would like to invite you to join them to try out their material, to learn about what they’ve been up to and to hear from you about what you like and what you think could be done differently in a show and share session. There will be other residencies in 2018, 2019 and 2020 - so you can follow how their work develops over this time, with continued opportunities to take part.
If you’d like to take part, let us know by emailing polly@ocmevents.org. We’d like to encourage you to join the band’s Facebook page, where you’ll also be kept up-to-date with news and where you can offer thoughts along the way.

We look forward to hearing from you!
a 21st-century gig in which multimedia gadgetry and a sense of mischief combined to create something fresh and unexpected.... drawing their audience into the heart of the gig. Roe and his friends were reminding us — in captivating style — that jazz can be fun and profound at the same time. *****
The Times (Ronnie Scott's August 2017)ambitious, breathtaking performance .... ....deliriously enthusiastic audience ... the sheer excellence of the playing was accentuated by this multimedia approach.... uniquely skilled, witty, and inventive jazz trio.
The Prickle (Ronnie Scott's August 2017)a definite stylish aesthetic that jazz often lacks. .... ingenious interplay..extremely tight rhythmically. .... a refreshing, forward-looking take on jazz improvisation. Tin Men use humour, politics, technology, and strong visuals to engage an audience. .. convincing and compelling
London Jazz NewsThese are skilled musicians who can improvise within any straitjacket imposed by an audience, in a musical equivalent of Whose Line Is It Anyway?
