A group of huge, blue sonic spheres are invading Oxford’s streets...

Come and roam between these giant, other-worldly objects and experience their sonic universe. Sounds emanate from inside the pods and resonate upon their surface, creating music that you can hear, feel and touch. Colony is created by artists Alison Ballard and Mike Blow.

Produced by Hogarth Productions. Co-commissioned by Hogarth Productions and OCM with funding from Arts Council England and Reading Borough Council.

OCM is now accepting applications for Boom 2017.

Boom is OCM’s annual professional development scheme for music / sound practitioners and producers.

The scheme offers support for practitioners and producers who are interested in creating and presenting inspiring contemporary music or sound based work outside of the concert hall and gallery (i.e. in unconventional spaces and outdoors), in order to reach large and diverse audiences. This includes performance, digital practice and installation work.

Applications should be submitted by noon on Monday 16th January 2017.

To find out more about applying for Boom 2017 visit the “Contact Us” area of the OCM website, where you can download full information from “Press/Downloads”:
