'A vital, indefinable band. Like no other band I have seen before.’ (For Folks Sake)

Strings, guitar, gamelan, bass synths, piano and gongs weave echoes of Beach Boys, Kate Bush, Steve Reich and Sufjan Stevens into close vocal harmonies and intricate rhythms.

Firefly Burning released their debut, ‘Lightships’ in 2011 and have just completed a bold new album entitled ‘Skeleton Hill’ working with Tim Friese-Greene from seminal band, Talk Talk.

Furious Folly Trailer 2015 from OCM on Vimeo.

Last year we supported Mark Anderson’s new outdoor show, Furious Folly in Newbury. An immersive open-air collage of sound, kinetic devices, pyrotechnics and performance, inspired by the Dadaists movement of the early 20th Century.

Furious Folly uses the Dada ethos to rail against the inhumanity and senselessness of conflict past and present. You might be interested to know the show will be premiered in full in Belgium this spring as part of Poperinge 14-18 Life Behind The Lines.
