All the magic and melancholy of Eastern Europe
For years, this trio of Polish accordionists played on the sidewalks of Krakow but have since become regulars of stages around the world, playing to stadium sized crowds in Russia and the Ukraine, blowing up the clichés surrounding their instrument of choice wherever they travel. Boasting an eclectic range of collaborators - Krzysztof Penderecki, Bobby McFerrin, Wojciech Kilar - their music is equally varied, including interpretations of Gorecki and Penderecki as well as many of their own tunes. With their intense energy and gripping acoustic sound, they have invented an avant-garde genre reminiscent of the tango and the waltz, replete with jazz and baroque inflections. OCM is thrilled to be presenting them on their first ever UK tour.
"Their music is amazing" Joe Zawinul
"This is an exceptional accordion trio"
Krzysztof Penderecki
