Steph West and Giles Lewin
Folk inspired tunes from two of Oxford's finest
Singer-harpist Steph West performs with a delicate soulfulness. Her classical roots gave way to a love of traditional music from the British Isles and then a passion for arranging and creating new music. The result is an emotive mix of delicate folk tunes, swinging dance rhythms and vivid contemporary chords. Fiddle player Giles Lewin joins Steph for this performance. A founder-member of Bellowhead and with performances including the BBC’s Late Junction and Electric Proms, Giles is a significant figure on the British folk scene. Together they will perform a programme of traditional-inspired music.
This concert forms part of OCM’s education and outreach programme, presented in collaboration with Artscape and OBMH Spiritual and Pastoral Care Team.
