For almost twenty years, the Smith Quartet has been at the forefront of the world's contemporary music scene, specialising in live electronics and commissioning new music from the world's leading composers. Tonight's performance features the work of celebrated Portuguese composers presented in immersive surround-sound.

Circuits is co-produced by Miso Music Portugal and the Portuguese Music Information Centre; is supported by the Gulbenkian Foundation, Instituto Camões and the British Council and celebrates the contemporary music of Portugal. It is a pan-European project which has travelled to Madrid, Paris, Vilnius and will continue its journey after Oxford.
