Built around Steve Reich's mesmerising classic Sextet, this programme celebrates the composer's influence outside classical music. With a vast array of percussion from the more traditional marimba and vibraphone to radios, turntables and buzzers, this concert showcases the breadth of Reich's Musical World and his infectious fascination with the beauty of sound in all it's forms.
Chris Brannick and Richard Benjafield, founder members of Ensemble Bash and described by The Independent as having an 'almost telepathic form of ensemble communication', head up the six-strong Three Strange Angels, since their debut at the Royal Festival Hall's Rhythm Sticks festival in 2004 they have been receiving very high praise. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
