Stefano Bollani is one of the most imaginative jazz musicians of his generation who seemingly bends jazz and the piano completely to his own will. His live performances are infused with an energy and virtuosity that will keep you on the edge of your seat, as his compositions and improvisations skilfully meld musical allusions as diverse as songs from the 1950s and key moments from jazz and classical history. He is best known for his collaborations with the likes of Enrico Rava, Lee Konitz and Pat Metheny. Bollani has recently made a fantastic solo debut album, “Piano Solo”, with the ECM label.
