Highly acclaimed artist Hayley Newman (Becks Futures award) creates diverse work tied together by her uniquely wry approach to the world and its idiosyncrasies . Tonight she’ll be creating a work with Brighton-based band Hamilton Yarns in part of their set.
All too easily labelled naïve, Hamilton Yarns draw you in to a world all their own with harmoniums, flutes, cornets, Wurlitzers and vocals conjuring up minimal and intriguing music from beyond folk.
Mixing up live music, DJs, art, poetry and film, the Slounge events delve into the best of the new, turning up unusual and inspiring combinations.
‘Slounge is a much needed antidote to an overpressured world of breakfast conferences and soap operas. There should be more slounging’. Oxford Times
OCM is once again working with visual arts agency OVADA and Hammer & Tongue – purveyors of ‘poetry for the club generation’.
In our cosy home, the Vaults Café, they’ll be serving up a fantastic fresh, organic, in-season buffet.
