Earth Machine Music
Finnish accordionist / composer Kimmo Pohjonen toured the UK in 2008 with his Earth Machine Music project. This unique concept involves Pohjonen performing live on his electronically enhanced accordion in collaboration with local farmers, their machines, tools and animals. The tour was a huge success and included a performance on May 17 at the Park Farm cowshed, North Aston, Oxfordshire.

A modern poet of the piano
This performance was recorded live at the Holywell Music Room in Oxford in October 2007. Harold came out of retirement for an exclusive one-off show for OCM. The results were mesmerising. A product of the live nature of the recording is some hiss but this is none-the-less a unique document of a unique artist.
The Devil's Violin Company
Recorded at Oxford's North Wall in 2009, this wonderful project brought together skilful and subtle music by The Devil's Violin Company with the inimitable and deeply engaging storytelling of Daniel Morden. Not for the faint hearted this is in the true tradition of fairytales.
Afrikan Machinery
A live performance at the Holywell music room in November 2009 showcases the very best of Lukas Ligeti's unique sound. Playing the electronic marimba lumina Ligeti creates a musical synergy of percussion and technology, revealing an inspiring new take on the dialogue between African and Western music.

Recorded at the O2 Academy Oxford on a night filled with dancing, dragons and bean scattering you'll never hear anything quite like Setsubun Bean Unit. Livestock
Recorded at one of OCM's intimate shows in the cafe at Modern Art Oxford and soon to be released on CD in Japan under the title Livestock, Farmyard Animals bring a mass of influences to an inspired instrumentation of tuba, percussion and sax.

As the final act of to the OCM Open 2010, he "[held] the audience reverently spellbound till the euphoric, distorted cacophony that signalled the end of his set" Oxford Bands.

Circuits
The Miso Ensemble performed as part of Circuits, a showcase for the new music of Portugal, in OCM's spring 2008 season. Creating sound poetry and electroacoustic theatre, they performed the works of Miguel Azguime with the composer himself performing with the group. The result was an immersive surround-sound journey through Azguime's sound-world. This performance was at the Jacqueline du Pre Music Building.

An interview with Joby Burgess before his solo concert in our 2007 autumn season. Scott Cridland-Smith, former Radio 1 and 1xtra broadcaster had the chance to talk to Joby before he played. In this relaxed interview they discuss his reasons for choosing percussion, the diversity he aims to achieve in his music making and the large collection of instruments he has from across the globe. The concert contained new works that had been composed especially for children and families, and is illustrative of the extensive educational work that this percussionist is dedicated to.

Live at Chipping Norton Theatre
Cool soukous dance moves were thrown in the aisle as the sound fusion of Congolese and Salsa shook the auditorium at Grupo Lokito’s Chipping Norton gig. Lokito features 'world famous at home' guitarists Burkina Faso & Limousine, Kinshasa-based singer and dancer José Hendrix Ndelo and top salsa pianist Sara McGuinness. Re-connecting the Latin and Congolese music of the Cuban Rumba, Grupo Lokito put their own modern West-African soul into the genre.
