Thank you for considering making a donation to Oxford Contemporary Music.
What would your money be used for? Even small donations can help us in our work in many ways. A few pounds can go towards a music workshop for a school class, or a few notes or minutes of a newly commissioned piece of music. It can help to purchase some equipment for a new sound sculpture or pay some expenses for a student to come and train with us.
And if you can only give a few pence it can still make a difference when added to the few pence that others give when buying tickets or downloads too.
OCM is a charity dedicated to supporting artists to inspire audiences. We do this in various ways that include:
· Helping artists to realise their ideas and dreams by finding funding, supporting them through the creation process and presenting their work.
· Bringing exciting and groundbreaking new music to Oxford from around the world, including supporting emerging artists from the UK.
· Creating opportunities for schools and community groups to work with world-class musicians, bands and composers.
· Supporting music-making within the community through coordination and fundraising for projects such as the Afropean Choir and the Horns of Plenty Street Band.
· Working closely with other music organizations and Oxford City Council to help improve the music scene here in Oxford.
· Giving students and young graduates training in events management, marketing and other aspects of the music business.
Have a look around our website for details of projects, events and areas of our work.
We receive funding from a number of partners including Arts Council England and Oxford City Council, but many of our events and projects simply wouldn’t happen without additional fundraising. If you’d like to make a larger donation or would like to specify which area of our work you would like to contribute to, do feel free to get in touch directly by email at info@ocmevents.org
Thank you for your time and consideration.
