Europe's oldest purpose built concert hall it was opened in
1748. Handel is among many of the famous composers to have
performed here. It was refurbished in 1959-60 and is now one
of Oxford's most atmospheric concert venues. It holds 200
but has an intimate feel. It is attached to Wadham College
and used frequently by the University of Oxford Music Faculty.
