Leafcutter John creates an intricate, delicate & surprising
mix of acoustic instruments, songwriting & electronica.
Field recordings from around the world mix with hauntingly
down-to-earth vocals in a seamless mix. Nominated (with Polar
Bear) for a Mercury Award (2005).
For Slounge Lisa Busby (Sleeps in Oysters)
presents Brambles in Starlight, a strongly atmospheric piece
combining lo-fi electro-pop sounds with evocative images and
children’s toys.

About Slounge
Mixing up live music, DJ’s, live
art, visual art, poetry and film, the Slounge events delve
into the best of the new, turning up unusual and inspiring
combinations.
Following on from the first ever
set of events this spring, OCM is once again working with
OVADA – gallery and arts developers; Hammer & Tongue
– purveyors of ‘poetry for the club generation’
and now Oxford Film & Video Makers. In our new home, the
Vaults Café, they’ll be serving up a fantastic
fresh, organic, in season buffet.
In collaboration with Clare Salter, OVADA,
Hammer & Tongue and OFVM
